Introducing "Sweet Temptations," a Swarovski hand bedazzled gumball machine with tiny, plastic replica chocolates inside. Standing as a symbol of both decadence and whimsy, this piece is also a visual totem for the adage, β€œthere is always room for dessert.” With this piece, Simmons was thinking more literally about derived contents of adult-centric candy machines, and emphasizing the power of enjoying a sweet indulgence with company. Wham said it best with β€œWake Me Up Before You Go-Go,” β€” don’t go to the chocolate shop without me β€” the pleasure of eating chocolate is always amplified when you have someone to share it with. Who doesn’t enjoy the chocolate left on their pillow when staying at a luxury hotel, or the complimentary cocoa-infused accoutrement when receiving the bill at a fancy meal?
