Palm Beach Blooms

I had the privilege of working closely with a wonderful family in Palm Beach to bring their artistic vision to life.

  • The idea for this series started with the homeowner's love for irises, one of their favorite flowers. Sparked by previous encounters with artwork - none quite hit the mark when it came to the specific color palette and scale needed to fill the spacious room where they envisioned the pieces.

  • Motivated by their desire to infuse the master bedroom with one of their favorite flowers, this client envisioned three grand iris paintings as the centerpiece of the room, which Simmons brought to life.

  • 6 months - commencing from initial proposal / conceptual sketches and concluding with the final sign-off on the completed painted canvas’.

Brooklyn Cat Craze

I aimed to capture the essence of a young musician's love for her two cats in a contemporary and unique way.

  • Rejecting the clichéd and sentimental conventions of traditional animal portraiture, we agreed to create something that resonated with her eclectic style.

  • Inspired by Andy Warhol's vibrant and modern approach to his early illustrations, I painted 9 portraits of her cats in bold, Warhol-esque hues. To further enhance the presentation and complement the diverse color tones of the two cats, I decided to frame each portrait with different colored handmade decorative paper matting.

  • 4 weeks - commencing from initial stylistic directions, receiving image references, and concluding with approval on scale and medium for the series

Nautical Nostalgia

For this special project, the vision was to create a heartfelt and timeless gift for a couple's wedding anniversary.

  • This couple shared a cherished memory of their honeymoon spent on a particular boat that they wanted to capture in a specific way. Their desire was to have an art piece that felt impressionist-worthy and could evoke the nostalgia of that unforgettable sunset boat ride.

  • To bring this vision to life, I delved into the traditional art techniques that I have honed over the years. The result was a piece that paid homage to the impressionist style while staying true to the traditional approach they desired.

  • 3 Weeks- commencing from receiving image references to framing and delivery of final piece.

Ticket Chronicles

An influencer couple wanted to transform their collection of ticket stubs and passes, gathered over the years, into an art piece.

  • The objective was to create a piece that not only celebrated their memories but also served as a striking artistic focal point. The approved direction was an oversized, ombre-inspired puzzle piece, designed to be engaging and aesthetically pleasing both up close and from a distance.

  • The piece was designed to accommodate the ticket stubs and passes in an organized and visually harmonious manner, giving each item its due importance. The puzzle piece itself was carefully constructed to evoke a sense of intrigue and artistic expression, ensuring it was visually interesting whether viewed from nearby or at a distance.

  • 1 month - commencing from presenting multiple concepts, receiving ticket stubs, and approving ombre-rainbow layout with client prior to finalizing.

To a Tee

I worked with a luxury t-shirt company to transform their top-selling and favorite designs into unique visual art pieces.

  • The objective was to create individual canvas that artistically interpret their 2D designs. This collaboration was a meeting of minds, as I was already a wearer and admirer of their brand before being introduced to the owner and designer.

  • The designs were translated onto canvas’ with precision and creativity to capture the spirit of the brand. The result was a collection of 10 pieces that not only honored the company's best-selling designs but also added a new dimension to their brand's artistic expression as a decorative statement in the founder’s home.

  • 3 months- commencing from the initial selection of designs to the final shipping and receipt of the art pieces at the client's home.

Abstract Reality

I transformed an entrepreneur's vision into reality by crafting a bold and masculine abstract piece for his dream home.

  • The vision for this project was to craft an abstract painting that would not only be bold but also carry a distinct sense of masculinity, perfectly suited for a specific space in the client’s newly built home.

  • Working closely with his interior plans, I aimed to bring this vision to life by merging artistry with appropriate and personalized decorative aesthetics. The final result was a captivating and distinctive abstract oil painting that served as a focal point within the entrepreneur's new home, making a bold and lasting statement.

  • 2.5 Months- commencing from the initial proposal and sketching phase to the sign-off and delivery of the final canvas.

Seashore Proposal

I was commissioned to create a timeless and traditional oil painting of the beach where a heartwarming proposal took place.

  • The client, seeking a meaningful Christmas gift for her husband, wanted to capture the exact location on a beach where he proposed as a traditional oil landscape painting.

  • The desire was for a landscape that focused solely on the beauty of the beach and its natural surroundings, omitting any depictions of themselves. The resulting artwork serves as a cherished memento and a captivating piece of decor for the living room in their Hamptons home.
